That’s right, I’m coming out.  No, not like that!  Calm down, Nate.  Still straight.  Anywho, as I started to say in the comic, I’ve come to a point in my life where I can say those 5 magic words: “I-Don’t-Give-A-Freak”.  It’ll probably save me an ulcer or 3 in the future.

I just wanted to protect relationships with friends and family by writing what I wanted without consequence.  In doing so, however, I wasn’t truly expressing myself.  So from here on out, I’ll do so boldly and without reservation.  If I offend someone, I’m sorry.  It isn’t my intention.  Rest assured, however, that the style to which you’ve become accustomed shall not change.  I’m just not hiding behind some lame pseudonym which requires way too much explanation anyway.

Recognize the guy with the tie?  He was back in #009.  Yeah, I know… SOOO long ago.  This guy is the ubiquitous shyster.  We’ve all met him and he probably was wearing that stupid tie.  At least he should have been.  I’ve got to agree with my friend Lilly on this: All of these guys should be forced to wear those red bowties like a huge honkin’ scarlet letter.  That way you’d have no excuse for making a stupid purchase.  You’d only have yourself to blame.

Sometimes I don’t get this kid. He goes bonkers all day about how he wants to watch the old Adam West Batman movie. So I finally put it on. About 15 minutes into the show, he goes running off with his brother to play in their room. After 30-45 minutes I turn off the movie. I hear this “HAY!” from his room and he barrels down the hall to confront me. “I was watching BATMAN!”

First and foremost, this is not a death threat to my soon-to-be-ex.  There’s this talk radio guy out in Los Angeles named Bill Handel who also happens to be a lawyer.  On Saturdays he has this call-in radio show on KFI AM 640 called “Handel On The Law” where you can call in and receive marginal legal advice.  Be warned, however, because this guy get’s off on telling you that you have no case.  If he ruins your day, then you’ve just made his!

Whenever someone calls in with a question about divorce he always gives the same advice.  KILL HIM/HER!  and that’s why.  He’s quite passionate about this, too!  You should check out his website www.handelonthelaw.com and download some podcasts.  Great stuff.  I actually think he’s nationally syndicated now, so you may be able to find a local station on the website, too.  I’d check for you, but I’m way too lazy tonight.

I almost did this one without dialogue.  ALMOST.  Unfortunately, I don’t think I’m familiar enough with my fan base to know just what youse guys will catch.  My soon-to-be-ex-wife and I both have dark hair.  Our younger son has dark hair.  Our older son has blondish hair.  WTF?!

We went to PetSmart today to get some crickets for our frogs (maybe toads?) Herby & Harry.  My older son, who will be 4 years old in September, knew what was on the shopping list.  He can identify, and knows the sounds of, every character in the English alphabet.  We’re still working on the actual reading bit.

Little kids are thieves! All he had to say was:

“Hey, Daddy, can I drink the rest of your lemonade?”

And I’d have said:

“NO! But I’ll go pour you some”

But no. He had to drink all of mine.
